Jake
Tonight, when I got home from work of course as always Sara had a great meal prepared for us. As we were setting around the table talking about the days and weeks ahead Jake just blurted out his school started on August 12th. Squirrel as I sometimes call him is so smart and witty. He is so excited about the adventure he is about to embark on, but I think Sara and I are scared. He cannot wait to meet all of his new friends and teachers. I can still remember when I started Kindergarden walking with my best friend Bryce the half a block to school, chatting about nothing more then likely. I am so grateful to Sara for preparing Jake in a way that he knows what is right and how you should treat others like you would want to be treated. I think God everyday that I was blessed with a little man that teaches me everyday what is really important. As we go through our days, we need to remember that we should always treat others as we would ourselves.

Who You Are & Are You Who You Want People to Perceive You As?
Who are you and are you who you want people to perceive you as? I know that I have asked myself that question before, but today was different. It could be because the answer to that question was different not totally different but it was definitely different. Before I would say that I wanted people to say, he is a good guy, one that would give the shirt off he back and always worked hard. Today, after a eye opening experience, I want to be thought as one that is true, webster's defines true as:
1. being in accordance with the actual state or conditions; conforming to reality or fact; not false: a true story.
3. sincere; not deceitful: a true interest in someone's welfare.
I never considered myself as not being true, but now more then ever I want to be known for every meaning of this trait, being known for always have a true interest in someone's welfare, and not just someone who puts on a facade hoping to benefit from the situation. I strive to be known as loyal and dutiful to family and friends and one who's fidelity stands strong throughout any storm. As an employee, I want to be known for having an ardent drive in finding the right solution for our clients and never allowing my moral compass to be skewed for any reason. It is amazing how life can make us reevaluate our values and our lives. I am not saying that what others perceive us as is all we should think about, but what we think about ourselves and how we react to life is Who We Really Are!!!

Welcome to Jeremy's Thoughts
Welcome to my blog, I grew up in Northwest Oklahoma and went to the University Central Oklahoma where I studied to become a Funeral Director. My life was brightened on July 9, 2005 when Sara and I was married. We were blessed with the greatest gift ever when Jake Michael Nichols was born on February 5, 2007. We now live in Enid and I work for the Law Firm of Mitchel, Gaston, Riffel & Riffel, PLLC. and Senior Resources and Benefits, LLC. I am truly blessed for the opportunities that I have had and the lessons learned from each one. We may think that the path we're on will always be straight, but there will be twist and turns and we never know where we will wind up.
